About the research

Hi!

This is my blog about my Ph.D. research project which is investigating the nature and use of online spaces for anti-rape activism.

The research consists of three parts – interviews with campaign managers and creators (websites, blogs, Twitter and/or Facebook campaigns – not necessarily ‘political’ but have a political element), surveys with users (that’s you!) and content of the campaigns themselves.

If you are interested in being interviewed for the research, please contact me – reloney-howes@students.latrobe.edu.au.

Please feel free to click on the link here to do the survey if you’re interested 🙂 https://latrobe.co1.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_dgttImlg5PLML9b

I look forward to seeing your responses.

The International Campaign to Stop Rape and Gender Violence in Conflict – Survey

Survey link: https://latrobe.co1.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_4OsB6dXeM7VDtyt

Hello!

If you have come to this post, you have been directed by the media team at The International Campaign to Stop Rape and Gender Violence in Conflict. Some of the aims of my research are to gain a better understanding of why people use online spaces, such as The International Campaign to Stop Rape and Gender Violence in Conflict, for anti-rape and sexual violence campaigning, and how.

If you would like to participate in a short survey about how and why you engage with The International Campaign to Stop Rape and Gender Violence in Conflict website and/or social media spaces, I would be very grateful. All your responses will be anonymous and the data collected will be used in my doctoral thesis which will not be publicly accessible and none of the data will be shared with anyone.

The survey has been approved by the La Trobe University Ethics Committee. Should you have any questions about this research you can contact Ms. Sara Paradowski from the Human Ethics Committee at La Trobe University –humanethics@latrobe.edu.au or phone: +61 3 9479 1443. Alternatively you can contact my supervisor, Dr. Nicola Henry – n.henry@latrobe.edu.au or phone: +61 3 9479 2476.

Thank you for taking the time to considering helping me with my research.

If you would like to contact me if you have any questions or concerns, please email me reloney-howes@students.latrobe.edu.au. I apologise that this survey is only available in English!
